The policy covers boarding kennel fees if the owner is hospitalized for at least 48 hours, and for the time period the owner is hospitalized, from a maximum of $25 per day up to the policy’s specific maximum benefit amount. (Pregnancies and elective surgeries are not covered.) Boarding kennel fees can also be covered if the owner’s home is damaged or rendered unfit for occupancy if the owner’s homeowner or tenant policy covers additional living expenses.

24PetWatch will also reimburse owners for travel and accommodation expenses they are not able to recover while on vacation, or up to seven days before they leave for a vacation, when their pet requires urgent, lifesaving covered and eligible Medical Treatment.

Payout Limits

The standard annual policy payout limits are based on the coverage selected by the owner.

Emergency ambulance and paramedic services are covered up to a maximum benefit amount of $500 per incident of a one-way trip, subject to the 20% co-pay and policy annual deductible.

Prescription diets are covered for 50% of the cost (subject to the policy annual deductible), less the standard 20% co-pay, for a maximum benefit amount of $500 per policy year.

Veterinarian-prescribed alternative therapies are covered subject to the annual policy deductible and 20% co-pay up to the maximum benefit amount of $1000.00 per policy year.

24PetWatch also reimburses owners for the actual costs of advertising or reward paid if the owner’s pet is lost or stolen, up to the Maximum Benefit Amount stated in their document of insurance and/or Product Coverage Chart.

Deductible Information

All 24PetWatch policies feature a $100 annual deductible.

Age Limits

Dogs and cats under 8 weeks of age are not covered.
